Eugene Wei on TikTok

I’ve seen TikTok videos shared elsewhere, but have not gotten into it. Eugene Wei has written a long, rambling collection of thoughts on TikTok which makes me more intrigued (and frightened, because tiny pieces of media like TikTok don’t seem good for already fractured attention spans).

I was curious about the bite-sized mysteries of Funcolle mentioned in the piece (this was the example) and wanted to sign up to view the comments to see what people were saying about it. The whole signup flow was weird because it wanted me to go from my desktop to the app on my phone, and I actually wasn’t able to signup with username/password this way. As of now, it just tells me that I’ve been using their service too much.
