Monster Mash: Draw, Inflate, Animate

I remember a few months back when the Monster Mash paper came out and I thought it looked really cool. Google has released the code and even put a demo up at MonsterMash.zone. The short of it is that you can quickly sketch something in 2D, the software then “inflates” it to 3D. After that, you can easily add draw some motion and the software gives it a soft sort of skeleton automatically. It’s like magic.

If only the demo provided an easy way to save the resulting animation.
